1930 Casey Ketch

In Florida in the early 80’s I hung out on a 40′ ketch built by Casey Boatbuilding, Fairhaven, MA, in 1927. What a wonderful classic wooden sailboat. I keep her wheel, steerng gear, and anchor windlass in my third floor office at Pineapple Hill. The Edson steering worm and the windlass are solid bronze and weighed a ton getting up those steps.

You don’t see many Caseys still around but here’s a list of many that were built.
