BACK IN PLAY. Strategic Brand development. PR.
A bad car wreck threw me out of my day job and into writing novels instead. (Two published, one under contract to come out in 2026, a fourth nearly in final draft.) I’m walking better, driving better, even riding an e-bike.
It’s time to put that wreck behind me.
I’m going after freelance work again or perhaps a part-time gig.
Before the crash, I specialized in strategic brand development which includes competitive analysis, targeting, brand positioning statements, value propositions, brand messages, brand personalities, elevator speeches, mission/vision statements, taglines, brand managed public relations (media relations, news releases, blogs), and copy writing (I won a few national awards before).
I worked with a lot of start ups in addition to major corporations. I helped sell mining pumps made in Australia to mine owners in Argentina. Green tea from China to Londoners preferring Yorkshire or Earl Grey. Ball bearings made in Dubai to factories in the Middle East Northern Africa (MENA). I worked with technology companies geared to major financial services companies, oil drilling and pipelines, private jet rentals, and more.
A little of this. A little of that. Projects large and small. B2B and B2C.
The wreck ended The Brand Development Company. I was in a physical rehab facility—learning how to put on socks using a special gadget, learning how to walk again—when the hosting fee went unpaid and the content lost. Was just lucky to still be alive.
I lived. And I’m getting much better. A step at a time. And now ready to pick up where I left off.
Can I? Sure! I’m looking forward to it, to being back in the game. The “show.”
Back in play.
