From that very odd summer came an even odder book…
I call it the Mother of All Mid-life Meltdowns.
My adjustment from sailboats to country living did not go well.
Not at all.
The result was Blue Rubber Pool about a world-weary dealmaker who, smitten, follows a peachy Southern belle back to her small town in rural South Carolina.
He doesn’t fit in. And his old way of life keeps calling him back.
I also call it it “a love story in disguise.”
